Okay, so because of the giant motherfucking snow storm we got last Wednesday, we had to push exams back another day and remake up the day we lost; we'd follow Wednesday's schedule on a Tuesday. There was no school Wednesday and a 90 minute dealy Thursday, and we were gonna go to school today and midterms would start tomorrow. Guess who just called to say what was going on?
You guessed it. School called to say it was cancelled due to 'weather problems.' There's some ice on the road and some cars, but that's about it. Now midterms start on Thursday and end on Tuesday. So much for using only one week for exams-oh, shit; MY HUMAN GEOGRAPHY EXAM IS FIRST ON MONDAY!!!

FANG by James Patterson review
A few days before Christmas, Mom and I headed to the mall for some last minute gifts. As we were passing Borders, I remembered that there were some books I'd wanted; after searching for maybe 20 minutes-it wasn't with other James Patterson books, so it took a while-I found a book I was looking for: Fang, the 6th book of the world famous Maximum Ride series. Needless to say, I was thrilled.
Starting in a small village in Chad, Africa, the flock is working on a CSM (Coalition to Stop the Madness) when they get attacked; big freaking surprise. After suffieciently kicking their asses, the flock returns to their camp to recover when Angel gives a chilling prophecy about Fang, Max's best friend and soul mate: "Nothing can last forever, Max. And actually, I hate to tell you this, but Fang will be the first to die. And it will be soon."
Along with Angel's disturbing prediction, a mad scientist-Dr. Hans Gunther-Hagen-has created Dylan, an eight month old test-tube clone of a fatal car crash victim designed to be Max's perfect other half.
It was a great book with several plot twists and unexpected turns that left you wide-eyed and sometimes in tears (well, at least I cried).
Back cover:
Angel says Fang will be the first to die. But I won't let that happen.
Maximum Ride is used to living desperately on the run from evil forces sabotaging her quest to save the world. But nothing has ever come as close to destroying as this horrifying prophetic message about Fang-her soul mate and best friend.
Then a newly created winged boy, the magnificant Dylan, is introduced into the flock. Raised in captivity like the others, Dylan exists for only one reason: he was designed to be Max's perfect other half.
Thus unfolds a battle of perfection versus passion that terrifies, twists, and turns...and meanwhile THE APOCALYPSE IS COMING.
